This film depicts the story of Michael Oher, a traumatized and homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do family that helps him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher's presence in their lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle.
Sandra Bullock won her first Oscar for this film.

The story of a true green revolution.
It started with one lone voice in 1984. A dermatologist in Hudson, Quebec, noticed a connection between her patients' health conditions and their exposure to chemical pesticides and herbicides. With relentless persistence she brought her concerns to town meetings to warn her fellow citizens that the chemicals they were putting on their lawns posed severe health risks and had unknown side effects on the environment. This gripping documentary tells the story of the historic court case in 2000-2001 between the town of Hudson and some of the most powerful chemical companies in North America.
The movie demonstrates the power of community action and shows how a small group of people can overcome the odds to effect change. It also presents Canada's leading role in advancing the ban of toxic pesticides.

It's the1960's in suburban London, and Jenny is a bright young girl on the cusp of her 17th birthday. Enter David Goldman, a much older man, who seems to have much more to offer than her parents and school. Before their meeting, Jenny was working hard l to attain entrance to Oxford, but once she sees the lifestyle David can provide, she is hooked and thoughts of Oxford go out the window. Jenny goes from being a bright-eyed school girl to a sophisticated young lady. Will David be the making of Jenny or her undoing?
Carey Mulligan won the British BAFTA, and was nominated for an Oscar - the film won Audience Favourite at Sundance.
